Is the learning studio tutoring?

Curious Connections offers both private tutoring and small-group homeschool enrichment. Private tutoring provides individualized academic support, while the learning studio brings children together for guided, hands-on learning across connected subjects.

Who is the learning studio designed for?

The founding program is being designed for homeschool learners around ages 8–12, including children whose reading level, attention, communication, or developmental path may differ from their chronological age.

Does every child have to complete the same project?

No. A shared focus creates community, while several learning invitations offer meaningful choice. Children may build, draw, investigate, journal, discuss, or observe before participating.

Is the studio sensory-friendly?

The environment is intentionally calm and predictable, with visual structure, choice, quieter participation options, and access to a quiet area when a child needs time to reset. Families should share individual access needs during enrollment so fit and support can be discussed thoughtfully.

How much do services cost?

Rates vary depending on the service, format, and schedule. Contact Susannah for current pricing and availability.

Where does the group meet?

The founding cohort will meet in a private home setting in Peoria, Arizona.

Are snacks provided?

Regular snacks are not planned for the three-hour session. Families may send food when a child has a medical or access need, with allergy information discussed before the program begins.

How large is the group?

The studio is intentionally small. A founding cohort of approximately six to eight children allows for collaboration without losing the calm, relational character of the program.
